Sound and Vision: Beyond Reason rockt. Op vraag van Cultuurcentrum Mechelen komt Lee Ranaldo, gitarist van de legendarische rockband Sonic Youth, samen met zijn vrouw Leah Singer naar Mechelen. In het kader van Contour brengt het paar de muzikaal/visuele performance contre-jour in de prachtige barokke Sint-Pieter-en-Paulkerk. Het duo gaat in dialoog met de Dream Machines van Brion Gysin & Ian Sommerville's ‘Dream Machines’. Deze Dream Machines worden in de kerk tentoongesteld gedurende de biënnale.

Sound and Vision: Beyond Reason’ rocks. Especially for Contour 2011, guitar player Lee Ranaldo of the legendary band Sonic Youth will come to Mechelen with Leah Singer on Friday 30 September.  The pair will stage the musical+visual performance ‘contre-jour’ in the church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The duo will enter into a dialogue with Brion Gysin & Ian Sommerville's ‘Dream Machines’. The Dream Machines are on show in the church during the entire biennial. 

This project is a collaboration of Contour and the Mechelen Cultural Centre.
